SPECIAL INTERESTS IN ANAESTHESIA
Anaesthesia for neurosurgery, trauma and perioperative medicine.

BACKGROUND
Dr Obed completed his graduate medical training at Flinders University in South Australia in 2011. He commenced training as an anaesthetist in 2013 in Queensland and completed his Provisional Fellowship at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with a special interest in Neuroanaesthesia. He is a staff specialist at the RBWH with an active role in education and training.

Prior to medicine, Dr Obed trained as an Engineer and has an on-going interest in the field of virtual reality and its clinical application in anaesthesia.

Dr Obed’s practice includes a wide range of anaesthesia for most surgical specialities, including ENT, maxillofacial, general, orthopaedic, obstetrics and neurosurgery.

OTHER INTERESTS
Dr Obed is a keen runner and hiker. He can also be found at Bunnings working on his next weekend project.
