BACKGROUND
Dr Whitlock completed her undergraduate medical training at The Australian National University in 2009 with merit honours. She relocated to Queensland and commenced training in anaesthesia in 2012 working predominantly in major tertiary hospitals in South East Queensland. She completed training with a vascular fellowship position at The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) in 2016, attaining Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2017. She continues to work at the RBWH as a staff specialist with additional roles in final exam teaching for ANZCA trainees and as a member of the perioperative medicine interest group.

Dr Whitlock delivers high quality care for patients with compassion, empathy and acumen. To continue to maintain and excel, her goals include attaining the newly announced perioperative medicine diploma with ANZCA, expanding her use of focus cardiac ultrasound and furthering her academic interest in health economics and high value healthcare to promote evidence based practise to optimise the patients healthcare experience.

OTHER INTERESTS
Outside of consulting, Dr Whitlock enjoys spending time with her husband, children, family and friends; chasing milestones on her peloton bike; and spending time in the garden.
