SPECIAL INTERESTS IN ANAESTHESIA
Anaesthesia for Orthopaedics with Perioperative Management of Joint Arthroplasty, Ophthalmic Surgery and Gastroenterology.

BACKGROUND
Dr Seeney completed her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Queensland in 1982. As a junior doctor she worked at the Princess Alexandra and Gold Coast Hospitals, before commencing on the Anaesthetic Training Programme based at Princess Alexandra Hospital. On completion of her Fellowship examinations she took up a Senior Registrar position at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, before moving back to Brisbane as a Provisional Fellow at Greenslopes Hospital in Anaesthetics and ICU. She received her ANZCA Fellowship in 1992.

She has subsequently worked in Brisbane in both private and public practice as a Visiting Anaesthetist at Princess Alexandra Hospital.

OTHER INTERESTS
Away from her professional life Dr Seeney has extended her enthusiasm for good wine and travel, through formal study with the London based Wine and Spirit Education Trust, widely regarded as the world’s premier source of wine education.
