BACKGROUND
Dr James grew up in Darwin, then moved to Townsville where he completed his medical training at James Cook University in 2010. After his pre-vocational years spent in rural Queensland, predominantly in ICU, he continued on to train in anaesthetics, where he obtained his FANZCA in 2023. He completed a fellowship in Cardiac and Perfusion at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he continues to work as a Staff Specialist. He works in several public and private hospitals across Brisbane.

Dr James has an interest in all anaesthetic specialties. He is currently undertaking his Masters in clinical ultrasound, with a focus on echocardiography.

OTHER INTERESTS
Dr James is a keen baker, recipe collector and is always on the hunt for the perfect chocolate cake. Beyond the kitchen, he enjoys playing video games and spending time with his dogs.
