SPECIAL INTEREST IN ANAESTHESIA

ENT and maxillofacial surgery, orthopaedic surgery, colorectal surgery and perioperative medicine

BACKGROUND

Dr Rafter completed her medical training at the University of Queensland in 2017. She went on to complete specialist anaesthetic training in Queensland and a difficult airway/head and neck fellowship at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, where she now works as a staff specialist and ENT study unit supervisor. She has a passion for education, organising fibreoptic intubation and emergency airway response training for anaesthetic trainees, as well as facilitating tutorials for the ANZCA Primary Examination.

Dr Rafter has an interest in all aspects of anaesthetic care, and her practice includes most surgical subspecialties including general surgery, ENT/maxillofacial, plastics/reconstructive surgery, orthopaedics, colorectal, spinal, and gastroenterology procedures.

OTHER INTERESTS

Outside of her clinical practice, Dr Rafter enjoys travelling, cooking and walks with her dog, Daisy. She is currently completing studies as a sommelier though Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET).
