QUALIFICATIONS
MBBS, FANZCA, Post Graduate Diploma of Peri-operative and Critical Care Echocardiography, National Board Examination in Advanced Echocardiography, Advanced Life Support Instructor.

SPECIAL INTERESTS IN ANAESTHESIA
Cardiac Anaesthesia, Transoesophageal Echocardiography, Colorectal Anaesthesia and Advanced Life Support (ALS).

BACKGROUND
Dr Wells completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of Queensland in 1991. She was awarded Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) in 2000 after training in Queensland and the UK.

Dr Wells completed a post-graduate diploma in Peri-operative and Critical Care Echocardiography at the Melbourne University. She attained her Fellowship in Cardiac Anaesthesia at The Prince Charles Hospital, where she was involved in a wide range of cardiac anaesthesia, including transplant surgery, valvular abnormalities and congenital cardiac anomalies.

Dr Wells currently works in private practice in many hospitals in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, and has regular public sessions at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in the Cardiac Unit.

OTHER INTERESTS
Dr Wells enjoys bushwalking, and family holidays at the beach.
