SPECIAL INTERESTS IN ANAESTHESIA
Major Extracorporeal Perfusion, Transoesophageal Echocardiography, Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia.

BACKGROUND
Dr Pregelj grew up in Brisbane and in 2004, moved to Melbourne to undertake his undergraduate training at the University of Melbourne. In 2010 he returned to work in Brisbane, and complete his specialist training in Anaesthesia. He was awarded Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) in 2019. This included a provisional fellowship in cardiac and thoracic anaesthesia, transoesophageal echocardiography and medical perfusion at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he continues to work as a staff specialist

Dr Pregelj’s practice includes a wide range of anaesthesia for most surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopaedic, colorectal, spinal, maxillofacial, cardiac and thoracic, and anaesthesia for cath-lab, interventional radiology and endoscopy procedures.

OTHER INTERESTS
Outside of medicine, Dr Pregelj enjoys coffee, movies and fishing. He is an avid skier and enjoys overseas travel.
