SPECIAL INTERESTS IN ANAESTHESIA
Anaesthesia for Neurosurgery, Dental Procedures, Orthopaedics, and Trauma, particularly in complex clinical scenarios.

BACKGROUND
Dr Douglas completed her undergraduate medical education at the University of Tasmania in 1992 and served in the Australian Military from 1991 to 2019. She began her anaesthesia training in 2001 at Liverpool Hospital and later relocated to Brisbane, where she earned qualifications as both an Anaesthetist (FANZCA) and an Intensive Care Specialist (FCICM). Her expertise in anaesthesia for trauma and critically ill patients was developed at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital and during her deployments with the Australian Defence Force, which include extensive operational experience in Africa, the Middle East, and Timor Leste. In 2015, Dr Douglas moved to the Gold Coast. Committed to education, she has lectured at the University of Queensland, Griffith University, and Bond University. Currently, her focus encompasses various areas of anaesthesia, including general, eye, dental, orthopaedic, and neurosurgery.

OTHER INTERESTS
In her personal time, Dr Douglas enjoys motorcycle riding, Pilates, yoga, beach walks, red wine, and traveling when possible.
