Dr Futter graduated with honors from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 2010. In 2017 he completed his Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) specialist training. During this specialist training he completed his provisional fellowship training in Vascular Anaesthesia at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. It was during this time he also completed a postgraduate certificate in education and simulation.

Dr Futter is devoted to the education of anaesthetists and other doctors. He has a special interest in using simulation and virtual reality environments to recreate operating theatre environments for educational purposes. He is a Senior Lecturer within the University of Queensland.

Dr Futter currently provides Anaesthesia services for a broad range of surgical procedures across both public and private sectors. He is passionate about providing tailored, expert quality anaesthetic care.

Dr Futter enjoys 3D printing of educational and medical models and mountain biking in his spare time.
