BACKGROUND
Dr Wills is an experienced anaesthetist with deep expertise and a commitment to patient care. He grew up on the Gold Coast and studied medicine at The University of Queensland. He worked at Rockhampton Base Hospital, was the Medical Superintendent at Blackwater and was the solo doctor in Middlemount for the next eight years.

Since specialising in anaesthetics, Dr Wills has worked in the full range of sub-specialty fields and maintains a continuing interest in broad professional education. Most of his time is spent working in private practice and several hospitals throughout Brisbane. He also works in public practice at Princess Alexandra Hospital where he also assists with junior doctor training.

Dr Wills believes good communication and cooperation is essential in the operating theatre environment. He strives to have a clear understanding of his patient’s cares and concerns prior to their operation.

OTHER INTERESTS
Dr Wills’ children are all adults now and pursuing their own careers. This leaves time for Dr Wills and his wife to enjoy their interests in bike riding, surfing, Scottish dancing and playing bridge.
