BACKGROUND
Dr Bright completed his postgraduate medical training at the University of Melbourne in 2017. He undertook a fellowship in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, with training in transoesophageal echocardiography (TOE). He is currently working as a Staff Specialist at The Prince Charles Hospital. Dr Bright has a longstanding interest in clinical research and is working on his PhD investigating intraoperative neuromonitoring. He is the Deputy Chair of ANZCA Emerging Investigators Subcommittee and a member of the Cochrane collaboration.
Dr Bright’s practice includes a wide range of anaesthesia for most surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopaedic, ophthalmic, colorectal, spinal, maxillofacial, cardiothoracic and endoscopy procedures.
OTHER INTERESTS
Outside of medicine, Dr Bright enjoys snowboarding, travelling, scuba diving (former instructor), and going on walks with his Golden Retriever, Freya.
