SPECIAL INTERESTS IN ANAESTHESIA
Anaesthesia for Cardiothoracic Surgery, Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation, Transoesophageal Echocardiography, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation and Cardiopulmonary Bypass

BACKGROUND
Dr Kerr completed his undergraduate and subsequent specialist medical training in Queensland and was awarded his Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) in 2016. During his final year of training, he completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic anaesthesia, transoesophageal echocardiography and medical perfusion at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane. He subsequently worked for four years as a cardiothoracic anaesthetist in North Queensland before returning to Brisbane with his young family where he now works in several private hospitals throughout Brisbane.

Outside of cardiothoracic anaesthesia, Dr Kerr has an interest in regional anaesthesia and providing assistance to our island neighbours, and is a volunteer with Doctors Assisting in South-Pacific Islands (DAISI).

OTHER INTERESTS
When not consulting, Dr Kerr spends his time with his wife and 3 young children. They enjoy the outdoors, hiking, camping and mountain bike riding. At home, he enjoys modern board games, miniature painting and the occasional computer game when time allows.
