SPECIAL INTERESTS IN ANAESTHESIA
Bariatric Anaesthesia, Anaesthesia for Endocrine Surgery, Anaesthesia for Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

BACKGROUND
Before embarking on a career in clinical medicine, Dr Christensen first completed a Bachelor of Science in biomedical science, and acquired a PhD in reproductive and fertility medicine. She completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of Sydney in 2006. She then commenced her specialist anaesthetic training at The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) and went on to complete her Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) in 2015.

She currently works in both public and private practice at several hospitals throughout Brisbane. Dr Christensen endeavours to deliver safe and up to date anaesthetic care to all of her patients, across a broad range of specialty surgeries.

Dr Christensen is passionate about further education and is involved in several research projects. She is heavily involved in the education and mentoring of Junior Doctors and medical students.

In her spare time Dr Christensen enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
