Dr Shaun Roberts

BApSci (MedSci), MBBS, MPH, FANZCA, Advanced PTEeXAM Certification.

SPECIAL INTERESTS IN ANAESTHESIA
Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia, Medical Perfusion, Transoesophageal Echocardiography.

BACKGROUND
Dr Roberts completed his medical and specialist anaesthetic training in Brisbane. As part of his training he undertook additional education in perioperative medicine through Monash University and subsequently completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic anaesthesia at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, gaining additional qualifications in transoesophageal echocardiography.

Dr Roberts has an interest in all aspects of anaesthesia care including perioperative medicine and pain management. He has a particular interest in healthcare in resource poor environments, and has completed a Masters Degree in Public Health.

Dr Roberts currently works full time in public practice as a staff specialist anaesthetist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and part time in private practice at several hospitals throughout Brisbane. He is actively involved in the training of medical students and is a Lecturer with the University Of Queensland School Of Medicine, Southern Clinical Unit.

OTHER INTERESTS
Outside of consulting, Dr Roberts enjoys skiing, sailing, travel and what some may call bad television shows. He is also a connoisseur of craft beer.
