Dr Taryn Naggs

MBBS, FANZCA, Postgraduate Diploma of Perioperative and Critical Care Echocardiography

Cardiac and Thoracic anaesthesia, Perfusion for Cardiopulmonary Bypass, Echocardiography for Cardiac and critical illness.

Born in Western Australia and raised in Queensland Dr Naggs completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of Queensland in 1997. Dr Naggs went on to commence her specialist anaesthetic training in tertiary hospitals throughout Queensland and the ACT.

Dr Naggs was awarded Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) in 2006. She has since remained in Brisbane as a consultant and is now a Senior Specialist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, a major teaching hospital for Queensland.

Dr Naggs divides her professional life between public and private practice working at a number of hospitals throughout Brisbane.

She has volunteered providing anaesthesia for Interplast Australia in the Philippines, supporting patients with cleft palate, burns and skin grafts and teaching local medical and nursing staff.

Dr Naggs prefers the outdoors to contrast with operating theatres, especially hiking. She is also a keen diver and sailing enthusiast. She fulfils her creative side with painting, photography and ceramics due to the fortune of meeting generous teachers.
